Love is in the Air

Love is definitely in the air for quite a few of my friends........they're swooning all over the place.
It's just such a wonderful feeling, isn't it? Especially if it's rocked up after a spell of bad times....
Or you thought it would never happen to you, or again, or ever.
When it's your turn, it's your time........xxxxxxx

I have always fallen in love in September
Where are we now? Ahhhhh.... middle of August. :)

Bosch came thru -

Very good response from Bosch Customer Service. they are now on a par with Waitrose/Peter Jones, who are the bees-knees as far as Customer Service is concerned.
A big thank you.

Every day a little wind does fall.

Every day something abundant comes my way.

Today I found I had a champagne flute worth $340

When I married that lovely MM (all of a sudden like a flippin great pudden)......a very kind friend of his gave us 2 champagne flutes as a wedding present. I didn't realise they were a Collectors' piece.

When the marriage broke up MM managed to break his glass but `i kept mine .
Today I realised it has a signature on it (Moser) so I did a little search thru the interwobblyweb and to my utter surprise (and pleasure) I discovered that the flippin flute is a work of wealth.

Here's a pic of it.:

And here my darlings is a little bit of the bubbly for me to celebrate my windfall

Moser Champagne Flute -cheers me dears

THANX XXXXXXX

Thanx for being there for me you guys

You know who you are.

I couldn't have got thru it without you.

Every day in every way......

I'm starting the day in a beautiful way. Loving my life and all that it contains. I'm happier now with very little than I was with private planes and jet-setting to the South of France, staying in fancy hotels on the Croisette. Pic below on the beach of the Carlton Cannes with my fiance.

Wanna know a funny? We weren't rich enough to stay in the Carlton, but we used their beach. We always stayed at the cheaper hotel next door, the  Martinez. (pronounced Martinaise: the zed is noisy as in chaise). Ok, not that cheap but fascinatingly full of hookers. We'd sit on the Croisette watching them linger by fancy cars waiting to ply their trade.
We were in Cannes for the Festival and then thru the  summer cos boyf was a prof poker player.....and there were big private games going on with the visiting megarichoes and when the bigtime film producer, Sam Speigal, came sailing across the horizon in his big black yacht.  That was the sign that the money was in town.

(Yes I always took my tiger with me everywhere...............NOT, lol ......I guess it must have been the photographer's)

Had a 5 carat diamond engagement ring in the 70's. OK it's small fry to the 15 caraters that reality show 'stars' are now flashing. I gave it back because that's the kind of person I am.....foolish some may say......even my lawyer at the time wanted me to hold onto it and get some clause written up. But I didn't want the hassle....particularly as the affianced's best friend was a very nasty piece of work and the affianced's best friend made suggestions of a threatening nature if I didn't return it.
He acquired it for himself as it transpired....funny old story.

So I live to tell the tale. And tell it I shall some day......Menoirs remember? lol

Today I awoke to sunshine and powdery clouds.  Feeling BRAND NEW
Good things that are private are happening and every day in every way it gets a bloody sight better than it was, say, some time in the past. :)

I appreciate how lucky I am and today I'm feeling once again in the vortex (of happiness).

On another issue entirely. How is it possible to lose a mug of coffee? It's not like I'm living in a Vanderpump mansion....... Ahh, found it! Beside my bed! Who put it there?  :)

Anyways....Today's a good-un. Don't be fooled by the odd grey cloud....rain clears the air.

Have a beautiful day too my friends......

Blitz Babes, kids, were you there? World War 2

Looking for ordinary people to tell their extraordinary stories of being alive during WW2

Would you like to recount your memories in a documentary I'm making?

Were you a kid in the blitz?
Or do you know people still alive who can recall their times in London or elsewhere in the UK, during the Second World War (WW2)?
Your parents? Your grandparents? The stories you heard tell by your mums and dads?

My friend told me a touching story her late mum used to recount, how, in her teens, she'd gone down the air-raid shelter and got chatted up by a bloke inside. It was pitch black. She was so excited, He sounded great. When they all emerged from the shelter she was shocked to discover he was blind.

Do you have anecdotes like this to recall? If you don't want to be on camera but just be a voiceover that would be cool too.

It's a sad fact that pretty soon all those people who remember THE WAR first hand will have passed on.
I want to memorialise the stories, the fears, the fun. How they felt when the doodlebugs stopped their frightening rattle, which meant that the bomb was about to drop and they had seconds to reach the air-raid shelter. What it was like to rush down to the shelter?
Children who were evacuated. Mothers who worked in the munitions factories. Boys who got sent to war. The Land girls. Was your mum or your grannie a Land Girl?
Stories please.

Also it would be interesting to interview someone whose dad might have been in the Luftwaffe. Who maybe launched the Doodlebugs - (V-1 Flying bombs).
