Deep Sadness

Deep sadness for the people on board the missing flight MH370

What is happening to this world?  

Terribly terribly sad for the families not knowing what has happened to their loved ones...

And if they did fly for a further 6 hours, how did they all manage with children aboard and oh my goodness, doesn't bear thinking........?

There are horrible people out there. 

Goldfinch & Fieldfare in the city - early March 2014

Captured in our London gardens a beautiful goldfinch.

Yesterday this cute little thrush..a fieldfare I think. Not a baby because it was foraging with a mate and maybe too soon for chicks yet. But I fear for them as they have nested under a bush close to the ground and we have predators nearby.......foxes, rats, squirrels.....
Today I will take a better camera with me to hopefully capture the two.

We went on the first night and we both found it belly-achingly funny.

Counterbalance with beautiful birdsong

I always like to counterbalance shite shit with something beautiful that nature offers for free without prejudice.
So hear here a beautiful bit of birdsong heard today in deepest Woking. Traffic of course spoils the aural pulchritude. But nevertheless.......listen thru, ignore the bad noise and as in life, listen only to the good stuff.
